Workshop on Disclosure Risk at the Center for Clinical Research Zurich

Matthias Templ conducted a workshop at the Center for Clinical Research in Zurich addressing “disclosure risk of anonymized and synthetic data” for members of the research management and data stewards teams.

The session explored how disclosure risk — the risk that a data subject can be re-identified — is a key concern when sharing data, especially when the data is sensitive.

The workshop curriculum included foundational concepts in disclosure risk assessment, various disclosure and attacker scenarios, technical approaches including k-anonymity and l-diversity frameworks, and an examination of risks associated with synthetic datasets.
